I was born in the Democratic Republic of Congo, but raised in the land of opportunity. Photography is my passion. Yet, this has not always been the case. I was not born with a camera in my hand, nor did I dream of being a photographer. It just happened, and I love every minute of it. I realized through time along with trial and error, that I am inclined to be creative. For me creativity is like a drug that I am not afraid of overdosing on. I tried to take other paths, but I was continuously drawn back to photography. For example, I considered architecture until I realized being an architect meant long years of instruction. I then moved on to mechanical engineering. However, it was stifling and I wanted more control. You see I have a wild imagination. I enjoy giving personality to things. Therefore, it was inevitable that I would move on to fashion design, which eventually led me to my current area of study, graphic arts. It has been a perfect fit for me; but through it all, photography has been my mistress. Whenever graphic arts become too rigid, I cheat on her with my other love that gives me more freedom. Recently, I introduced the two and they seem to get along very well. I continually hope that one day we will be able to have a family called success, but until then we will be on the grind experimenting with a determination to make it in one piece.
